Aadyam Handwoven, an initiative by Aditya Birla Group, was founded in 2015 with an aim to preserve and sustain India's rich tradition of handwoven textiles while creating a new vocabulary of 'luxury' in the home décor space. The brand aims to revive authentic craft skills, marrying them with contemporary design to create product with a global appeal and help build a sustainable ecosystem that is of value to both the artisans and craft patrons.
The collection comprises pieces made in the three craft clusters that the brand works with - Varanasi, Pochampally and Bhuj. The brand endeavors to create a self-sustaining ecosystem in these areas by creating market linkages for the artisans.
